His home\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.drewandjonathan.com\/design-and-decor\/how-to-create-an-interior-design-color-palette-for-home\/\">main palette<\/a> is browns, creams, and blacks. However, he adds texture and interest with every piece, whether it\u2019s a black squiggly-shaped mirror, a white oversize round light fixture, or tons of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.drewandjonathan.com\/design-and-decor\/living-room-sofas\/\">interesting seating<\/a>. You can see how the combination creates a design that feels unique and beautiful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"container\">\u201cI love layering, I love texture, I love a lot of eclectic pieces. But with all that sunshine comes <em>a lot<\/em> of heat. To make his home comfortable without sacrificing any style, he installed a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.quilt.com\/\">Quilt ductless heat pump system<\/a>. It has smart features like the ability to automate different schedules for different rooms, reduce usage in rooms when they\u2019re empty, and an ultra-sleek design. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"container\">\u201cWhen you have big windows like this it\u2019s gorgeous, but it lets a lot of heat in,\u201d Drew says. \u201cQuilt is the most efficient HVAC system on the market. It\u2019ll learn your habits; it doesn\u2019t cool and heat rooms when you aren\u2019t using it; and it\u2019s way more cost effective and easier to install than <a href=\"https:\/\/www.drewandjonathan.com\/how-to\/hvac-meaning-cost-maintenance-info\/\">a traditional HVAC system.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"container\">Brady agrees saying, \u201cIt took two days. There was one tiny hole they drilled in the wall, and there was no mess.\u201d Bonus: The accompanying thermostat looks chic and minimalist, too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Get Creative<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"container\">Brady\u2019s home is a perfect example of how you can get creative with design. He\u2019s found interesting ways to transform all types of items, like turning <a href=\"https:\/\/www.drewandjonathan.com\/design-and-decor\/best-upholstered-headboards\/\">an old headboard<\/a> into a bench seat in his living room, reusing shelving from a retail store to create a statement wall, and painting over old flooring he didn\u2019t like. He even sliced the doors of a furniture piece in half to hide his TV in the bedroom.
