Mario Lopez joins Drew and Jonathan for a heartfelt episode of Celebrity IOU<\/em><\/a> that was a true testament to love and friendship. Mario and Rod (aka Tuddy\u2014a nickname Mario gave him when they were kids) have been friends for a lifetime. Through it all, they’ve been by each other’s side, celebrating wins and helping through hardships. Tuddy’s wife, Tiffanie, recently went through a medical issue and had to have emergency spine surgery, and it’s taken a toll on their family. Mario wanted to give them a gift that would lift their spirits and make their home feel more functional and beautiful after such a hard time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tuddy spends a ton of time in the kitchen\u2014it’s both the cooking space<\/a> and the dining room<\/a> with just a two-seat breakfast bar to eat at, and it’s definitely due for an upgrade. Tiffanie also homeschools their three kids in the first floor living area just off the kitchen, so making the space a bit more functional for schooling needs is a high priority on the reno checklist, too. Mario and the Bros want to give Tiff and Tuddy a major upgrade that’ll leave them speechless.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Updated Kitchen Look and Feel<\/h5>

Tuddy and Tiffanie have always wanted their kitchen to have a timeless sophistication to it, while still balancing an aspect of fun. By shimmying the layout a bit to make better use of the layout, the Bros and Mario were able to give them more storage; a larger-looking room (thanks to the soffit removal that raised the ceiling height); and a look that fits their aesthetic.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n

The Perfect Dual-Purpose Area<\/h5>

The biggest problem Tiff and Tuddy had was storage. With one living space acting as their living room, dining room, and classroom, they were desperate for more. Mario, Drew, and Jonathan turned their walls into an organized haven, with wall-to-wall built-in cabinets and drawers to house everything they need with function and<\/em> aesthetics in mind. And when class time is over, the room is able to flex as a relaxing living and dining space, with a built-in banquette and comfy seating for shared meals.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n

Newfound Use of Space<\/h5>

The Bros even turned a looked-over corner into a cozy nook where the kids can read, lounge, or do schoolwork whenever they’d like. Niko, Leo, and Ella now have a comfortable area where they can flush out their creativity or relax right in the shared living space around Mom and Dad.<\/p>\n
